Applicability and Trade-offs of Information-Centric Networking for Efficient IoT

This pilot outlines a novel information-centric system (leveraging processing and storage in the network) which provides robust and resource efficient dissemination of IoT data with intermittently connected mobile devices hosting applications for producing and consuming data (e.g., machine-to-machine and autonomous crowd applications).

The participants will increase their knowledge and cooperation on challenges and solutions in providing scalable and resource efficient dissemination of possibly redundant or mission critical IoT data. Mobile devices/users will be able to interact more efficiently and effectively w r t resource usage and intermittent connectivity.
